Redesigning How Leaders Stay Informed
Redesigning How Leaders Stay Informed

Info
SZ Dossier is the Süddeutsche Zeitung's premium B2B product, delivering deep-dive journalism on the topics that shape political and economic decision-making. Through focused dossiers on subjects like the energy transition, geoeconomics, and digital transformation, it gives leaders, policymakers, and executives the context they need to stay ahead.
The relaunch was triggered by the introduction of SZ Pro, a new subscription tier that called for a sharper, more coherent product identity. The existing design had grown into its own visual corner, disconnected from the broader SZ brand language. My job was to bring it back in line while making it feel more distinct and purposeful than ever before.
On the visual side, I helped to developed a new design language rooted in the SZ's core identity, paired with bold, thematic key visuals for each dossier. Where the previous design felt generic, the new one gives every topic its own character and weight. The dossiers themselves became significantly more readable, both on the website and across the newsletters that land in inboxes every week.
But the work went beyond a redesign. What emerged was a full brand world: a visual and editorial framework that now spans webinars, events, and high-profile summits. SZ Dossier is no longer just a product. It is a platform.
